# The Brain: your company's knowledge

> Your organization's living knowledge base: sources, pages and an assistant that keeps it current without ever publishing anything without your approval.

The **Brain** is where your company's knowledge lives inside Morada OS: the price list, the commercial policy, the service manual, a development's spec sheet, that one rule only the veterans know by heart.

It is not a parked file repository. It is a **living** knowledge base, maintained together with you: the assistant reads what comes in, proposes how to organize it, and when someone asks a question in the chat, the answer comes from here, with the source in plain sight.

## Two different things: Fontes and Páginas

This distinction explains almost everything about the Brain.

A source does not become a page on its own. When you upload a file, you choose what you want:

* **Só guardar no acervo** (Store in the library only): the file stays available to download and no page is created.
* **Criar páginas com Morada OS** (Create pages with Morada OS): the assistant reads the source, splits the content by subject and **proposes** the pages for you to approve.

  A page remembers which file it came from. When the assistant answers something in the chat using the Brain, you can trace it back to the original document.

## Nothing is published without your approval

This is the rule that never changes anywhere in the product: **the assistant proposes, you decide**.

    You upload a source, or you ask in the chat: *"anota no Brain que o prazo de reserva passou para 72 horas"* (make a note in the Brain that the reservation window is now 72 hours).

  <Step title="The assistant prepares it and shows you">
    It drafts the page, picks the destination and builds a card with everything in view: what will be written, where it will live and how many items it has. The card says **Nada é publicado sem a sua aprovação** (nothing is published without your approval), and nothing has been saved yet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="You approve (or discard)">
    You can uncheck items and approve only part of it. Until you click **Aprovar** (Approve), the Brain stays exactly as it was.

  You can review later. Proposals still waiting appear highlighted at the top of the Brain, with a shortcut back to the conversation where they were born.

## Search and ask

You have two ways to reach information, and both respect exactly what you are allowed to see:

* **Search**, at the top of the Brain sidebar: looks by name and by content across everything within your reach.
* **Chat**: ask in plain language (*"what is the maximum discount without approval?"*) and the answer arrives pointing at the page or document it came from.

  Search and the assistant's answers never reach content you could not open. If a document lives in a space you are not part of, it does not show up in search and does not influence the answer.

## How to start

    Start with the documents your team consults the most: price list, commercial policy, brochures for active developments. Choose **Criar páginas com Morada OS** so they become consultable content.

    Review what the assistant organized. That first round of edits teaches it how your company names things.

  <Step title="Agree on where each thing lives">

  <Step title="Let it grow through use">
    The Brain improves day by day: whenever a rule that today only lives in someone's head comes up, ask in the chat to write it down.
