# Connect Pipedrive

> How to connect your Pipedrive account to Morada OS with your API token, what the assistant can look up, and how to disconnect whenever you want.

Pipedrive is the sales CRM where your team tracks deals, contacts, companies and pipeline activities. Connecting Pipedrive to Morada OS lets you ask about all of that in plain language ("how many open deals are in the pipeline?") and get the answer with a link that opens each deal and each contact directly in Pipedrive.

    Pipedrive issues an **API token** to each person, inside the company account. You copy it from Pipedrive itself, and it gives the assistant exactly what your own account can see there: never more, never less.
  </Card>

<Info>
  **Do you belong to more than one company on Pipedrive?** The token is per company: each one has its own. If you connect the wrong company's token, the assistant queries the wrong base without warning. To check, ask in chat "who is connected on Pipedrive?": the answer always says **which company** the token opened.
</Info>

## How to connect

<Steps>
  <Step title="Copy your API token from Pipedrive">
    In Pipedrive, click the account name (top right), open **Company settings > Personal preferences > API** (or go to [app.pipedrive.com/settings/api](https://app.pipedrive.com/settings/api)) and copy the displayed **token**.

    If the **API** option does not appear for you, whoever administers your company's Pipedrive needs to enable the "use API" permission on your profile (Manage users > Permission sets).

    **Careful:** Pipedrive shows **one single active token** per person. Generating a new one stops the old one immediately, including for other integrations already using it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the connectors">
    In the Morada OS sidebar, click **Conectores** (Connectors). The page shows the available accounts and systems.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick Pipedrive">
    Find the **Pipedrive** card and click **Conectar** (Connect). If the shelf is full, use the search at the top.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste the token">
    A short form appears on the card itself, with a single box:

    * **Token de API** (API token): paste the value copied from Pipedrive.

    On save, Morada OS checks the token with Pipedrive right away. To see **which company** it opened, ask in chat "who is connected on Pipedrive?". A rejected token means it was rotated, revoked, or copied with an extra piece: generate or copy it again in Pipedrive and retry.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  The token is stored encrypted and Morada OS never shows it back, not even to you. The screen only shows that a connection exists and when it was made.
</Note>

## What the assistant can do

In this version the connector is **read-only**: the assistant reads Pipedrive and never writes anything to it.

| Ask | What comes back |
| - | - |
| **Counts**: "how many open deals?", "how many in the Proposal stage?" | The exact number in one query. The deal list only appears when you ask to see it. |
| **Count by stage**: "how many deals in each pipeline stage?" | Every stage's count at once, with the pipeline total. |
| **Deals by owner, stage or contact**: "João's deals", "the deals of contact Maria Souza", "my deals" | Each deal comes with the **link to its page in Pipedrive**, built by the assistant. "My deals" uses your own account, without you having to say who you are. |
| **A specific deal by number** | The details, the linked contact, the deal's notes and activities. |
| **Contacts (people)** by name, email or phone | The total matching the search and the list, each contact with the link to their page. |
| **Activities**: "my pending activities", "deal X's activities" | The total and the list, with subject, date and owner. |
| **Who is connected** | Your name, your email and **the Pipedrive company** the token opened. It is the check that prevents the wrong company. |

<Warning>
  Two things Pipedrive does not let the API filter, and the assistant says so instead of inventing: **activities by due date** (for "next week's activities", ask by deal or by owner, or save a filter in Pipedrive and ask by it) and **deals by creation or close date** (only by update date). Deal counts by status, pipeline, stage, owner or saved filter are always exact. Counts of contacts and activities, and of deals filtered by contact, company, update period or text, stop at a floor on very large accounts, and the answer says when that happened instead of inventing the number.
</Warning>

## Adjust the permissions on your card

Open **Conectores > Pipedrive** and you see the list **O que Morada OS pode ler** (what Morada OS can read), with a label on each tool:

* **Sempre permitir** (always allow): the tool runs directly when your request needs it. This is the default, because none of them changes Pipedrive.
* **Perguntar antes** (ask first): the assistant asks for your confirmation in chat before querying.

Nothing runs on its own outside that list: there is no automatic routine, scheduling or background sync. The assistant only touches your Pipedrive when you ask, in the conversation.

## Everyday use

<Warning>
  Emails and phone numbers are your customers' personal data. Use them in chat only to locate the record in Pipedrive, inside your company's account, and do not copy them outside Morada OS or into conversations shared with people who do not need them.
</Warning>

```text wrap theme={null}
How many open deals do we have in the pipeline? And how many per stage?
```

```text wrap theme={null}
Which are my deals? Give me the link to each one.
```

```text wrap theme={null}
Search for deal "deal name" and summarize what stage it is in and what is pending.
```

```text wrap theme={null}
What pending activities are in deal 222? Who is assigned to each one?
```

<Tip>
  Want better results? Read [How to ask well](/morada-os/en/use-cases/how-to-ask-well): three minutes of reading that improve every request you make.
</Tip>

## How to disconnect

Open **Conectores > Pipedrive** and use **Desvincular** (Unlink) on the card. The assistant stops accessing your Pipedrive immediately.

Disconnecting in Morada OS does **not revoke the token on Pipedrive**: while it remains valid there, whoever holds it can use it. To truly revoke it, generate a new token at [app.pipedrive.com/settings/api](https://app.pipedrive.com/settings/api): the old one stops working everywhere, including in other integrations using it.
